Four Days / Three nights
Day 1: Cape Town
Depart Cape Town and travel to Worcester via Du Toit’s Kloof mountain pass. At Worcester we visit the fascinating open-air museum, a live and interesting exhibition dedicated to the farming community. We continue to Montague where lunch will be arranged and the group can be afforded the opportunity to visit the Hot Water Springs. We then travel through the scenic mountains to the Little Karoo. Changing scenery from lush farmland to semi-desert areas, making this a day full of surprises. A warm welcome awaits us at a Bed & Breakfast venue in Oudtshoorn.
Day 2: Oudtshoorn
Awake to the freshness of the Karoo. After a good breakfast we visit the world famous Cango Caves, where we take a fascinating guided tour lasting over an hour. We set off to the Crocodile & Cheetah Farm to see these prehistoric creatures and cats. Even more fascinating is the Highgate Ostrich Farm where
we stop for a tour and lunch. The afternoon brings us over the mountains, through George and Wilderness en route to Knysna. Dinner and overnight in Wilderness.
Day 3: Knysna
After breakfast we depart for George where we board the “Outeniqua Choo Tjoe Steam Train”, traveling along one of the world’s most picturesque rail routes to Knysna. After lunch
we set sail for a leisurely cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Dinner and overnight
in Knysna.
Day 4: Mossel Bay
After breakfast, we depart for an exhilarating game drive for an excellent chance of experiencing close encounters with rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, giraffe, rare black impala, mountain zebra, blue wildebeest and many other game species. After lunch in Mossel Bay, we leave for Cape Town via the farmlands and rolling hills. We arrive back in Cape Town after four fabulous days.
COSTS INCLUDE: Entrance fees, accommodation, breakfasts, dinners Steam Train and boat ride as per schedule but excludes lunches, drinks, items of personal nature.
